This is Addi the night before Easter in our hotel room in Yuma, AZ. She got 3 easter dresses, the two on the left are from Grandma Kathy and the one on the right my sister made!

This was Easter after we had unpacked and got settled in Mexico. My mom made a Passover Dinner and had a cute little description of everything they eat at the passover.

The second night Matt's mom Chris and I made dinner with Addi's help, of course.

We took Addi into town that day, and she was so sick we bought her a hat and she was knocked out for most of the time.

This is a view from the balcony in our room. The sand was perfect. The water was still a little too cool for me to take a dip in. Matt did go body surfing in it, though!
Tuesday we went to a place called "Shell Beach". It was soooooo windy. (Hence our messy hair) But it was really fun to find all kinds of different sea shells.
Then we went to a place where the Oldest and Largest cactus in the world lives.
So we parked the truck by the cactus, and this weird lady walks over to us and in a soft voice says, "Your truck is parked on the cactus' roots and it makes the cactus cry." We're like you're a psycho path lady! She was dead serious. I don't understand some people LOL.
My wonderful cute sis Reb and Addi. She flew in from Arkansas to come with us! We missed Nick, but he had school and work. One of the days we went to a local eatery for lunch. They brought out Oysters and Clams for an appetizer. We had to get a picture of someone actually eating them. I honestly don't know how people can eat those disgusting creatures.
And this was another day at an outside eatery. Matt loves their coconut shrimp.
Shopping down town...
This was a view of part of the city. Obviously the wind was blowing pretty hard, again.
I don't think I have met anyone who loves to shop more than Chris (besides myself of course). And we got pretty good at bargaining!
We had a great time, although there was way too much wind. It was such a nice break to get away from this nasty weather! I'm so glad my grandparents have that house down there for us to use and enjoy. They are the best!!!

How fun! Jealous!
ReplyDeleteI hope they never actually sell that house. It's such a perfect getaway! I'm glad you guys were safe and hope you had fun despite the wind! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun vacation! I'm so glad I got to go with! I miss you guys already :(
