Life never ceases to amaze me. It seems miracles are always to be found if we just look for them. Addison is our latest miracle in life. When the nurses handed Addison to me after she was born they told me I could snap a couple of pictures and then they would take her down to ICU. When I first looked at her, I could tell something was not right. Her lips were blue, and though I AM a blonde, I knew something was wrong. But my my, how she has grown and developed so well! To think of the progress she's made makes me ecstatic! But I must admit, to see her growing up so fast makes me a little sad. :( WHY WHY WHY!? Why does time fly by so fast!? Yesterday I took her in for her 8 month check up. I guess they normally don't see babies until their 9 month, but the Dr. wanted to make sure everything was going smoothly. Addi was so hilarious when we walked into the Dr.'s. The nurse who always gives her her shots walked out and Addi immediately started whimpering. I couldn't help but crack a smile. :) Luckily, no shots were necessary. Just a little poke in her foot to make sure her iron level was okay, which it was. The Dr was pleased with her progress and how well she has done through the winter. She only had a couple of colds, which were never severe.
Her Weight is 15.5 lbs- 9%
Her Height is 28 inches - 61%
Her Head is 43?? I don't quite remember but it is the 49%
Though she is a little underweight, he is not worried. She is eating a lot better and just had a rough start to blame the low weight on. She is a happy, healthy, and beautiful baby girl! What a MIRACLE!
This morning Matt called me and informed me that one of his co-workers was sent to the hospital due to the swine flu. Yes, his co-worker has the swine flu. And the dude has been sick for over a week and was still coming to work. I know I'm a totally paranoid parent, but I think I have a reason to be. If Addi caught it, her life would be at serious risk. I get so bugged when people go to work while sick. STAY HOME! So Matt and I were freaking out. He went to see our favorite Dr. Willis today and luckily got some medicine to prevent him from getting it. Sheesh. What a scare! Thankfully he only has one more day of work this week since we are going to Jackson Hole Thursday morning! (Wahoo) On Memorial Day (sorry this is so random) we went hiking with Matt's parents and Shane and Jennifer's family. Addi loved the flowers along the way.
And last, but definately not least, Addi's new favorite treat is graham crackers. She chows down on those like there's no tomorrow! Oh! She got her two front bottom teeth! They are so stinkin cute! I need to get a picture. See what I mean, growin up too fast.

Gosh, they really do grow up too fast! Grant has been all but begging to eat our food for the last month, and when we fed him a little applesauce today I almost cried! Where did my cuddly little infant go? The nice thing is being able to watch their excitement with growing up and doing new things. And about that swine flu guy--how scary! I'm an overly-cautious mom, too... By the way, Addi is so dang cute!
I truly can't say enough how cute she is! I'm so glad to hear that everything is good. Except for that Swine Flu! That really would be scarry! Good luck with that! It really is soooo sad how fast they grow! But it is really fun to see what things they learn too!
