Happy Birthday to Addi!

I can't believe it's been a year since I was in the hospital, not knowing what a sweet little girl would be coming to my life to change it completely. I was telling Matt the other day how happy this year has been. I am SO glad I don't have to go back to a year ago when she was in the hospital for so long. Those were some of the darkest days I've lived. But every second of pain was worth it to have her in our lives now. I feel immenseley blessed to have a child and be a mother. On her actual birthday we did presents here, just the three of us. We celebrated by taking her for a walk in the stroller; outdoors, in the mall, anywhere we wanted to go, we took her. That was kind of her one year milestone at how far she has come in one year. I forget how lucky I am to be able to take her out in public, because for so long, we could not.
She got some neat presents for her birthday. Look how big she look here! It kind of breaks my heart just a little bit!

On Saturday we threw a big birthday bash for her with our families. Everyone was so supportive to come out and party with us! My mom and I had a lot o fun making decorations for her birthday. My mom made this sign. She is a pro at sign-making!

Matt did most of these cupcakes. He even did all the little designs on them! Oh, it was a "Hello Kitty" Theme.

This was my pathetic attempt to make a Hello Kitty cake. The frosting wasn't really white and it looks more like a bunny but whatever; she's only one.

She got so excited when these three girls came. They love to play with her and she loves it probably even more! She was EXTREMELY HYPER.

She really didn't care to open the presents since she didn't really get it, so we let the kids open some.

She got so many cute and fun toys! Everyone was so nice and thoughtful! I'm kind of worried about her getting spoiled and expecting all of these gifts every year! Matt and I decided we're going to save some and give them to her for Christmas. But Thank You Thank You to everyone!

I can't believe she even blew out the candle herself! And she made a wish! Ha Ha just jokin! I blew it out and made a wish for her of course. All to good health.

Well I took off her shirt because I thought she was gong to dive right into the cake, but she just sat there and looked at it and then touched the little nose. That was it. Ha Ha it was so funny!

This is my Gramps. She didn't know what to think of him when she first met him months ago, but I have to say, she is warming up to him quite a bit. And she even cracked a smile!

We had a great time and feel happy that we have family to celebrate with! We missed Rebekah and Nick, and Scott and Kellee and their family. WIsh you could've been here but we love ya!

Those pics were so cute! She looks like such a little girl now. The Hello Kitty cake turned out way cute, I don't know what you were worried about. It looks like it was a lot of fun. We're soooo excited for you both to come out and visit this week. I can't believe it's almost here. Happy Birthday Addi!
