Quick Trip to Sunny St. Georgey

Have I mentioned i LOVE St George? Especially in the dreary winter months, it's so great to drive a few hours south and end up in such a beautiful sunny place. I swear if I could live there, I totally would. Hate. The. Cold. My grandparents had been down there for over a week and were getting bored, so they called us up (my family and us) to come visit for a few days. Addi pretty much hated the drive. She didn't sleep well at night. She never took a nap. I learned that vacations are more stressful than regular life when you have young kids. I was completely stressed out the whole time. Addi is so strong into her routine, that she gets so out-of-whack when she gets off of it. However, looking back, I realize I had a great time, despite the pulling-my-hair-out part. On Friday we drove to Mesquite for their "all you can eat seafood". My grandpa could eat there everynight. It's so funny to watch him go down on the crab legs. Me, not so much. Like it, but don't love it. When we got home we got in the hot tub and soaked our fat-seafood-filled bodies. haha.
My grandparents have never been to Zion's before, so on Saturday we drove there and did a couple of short hikes. My family is huge into hiking, but both of my grandparents have bad knees plus we had Addi, so we just "strolled" up a couple of shorter ones.
Addi-gator with "Mama" and "Bamp", as she says.

Walking up the trail, slowly, but surely.
This is called "Weeping Rock"

This was an overview of all of Zion's. It was absolutely beautiful.
Um, can we say Cheezer?? Yeah.

Later on that night, we went and had dinner with our in-laws, Scott and Kellee and their two kids. Kellee made us a delicious dinner; we had a fun time visiting since we don't see them much. Addi had a lot of fun with Lexi and Kyle, even if she did take their toys away from them :( (We are trying to teach her the meaning of "sharing", but it's so hard when they're so little)
THANKS G&G AND MOM AND DAD FOR INVITING US!!!

man, that just makes me want the snow to GO, but at the same time jump in that hot tub. Glad you had a fun trip even if Addi didn't like a change in schedule, maybe it will be easier to step out of routine next time! And yes, your family is a hiking fam!

We were going to be moving so St. George this fall when voila, we found out that we are going to be having a baby instead. I still want to move down there next spring, but we will have to stay up here for now! Our hard drive crashed and I had thought I lost your blog address but I found it! So glad to see cute little Addi running around and being so cute!
