"No One Can Take Your Place"

Everyone should read this book! It is by Sheri Dew and I have already learned so much and I'm only on page 22! I recently started reading it because I've been thinking a lot about Addison and stressing about raising her in this world that often seems extremely sinful. I have been so reassured from the first couple of chapters. She talks about who we were before we came to this earth life and how we brought our identity with us. You always hear people say, "I'm trying to find out who I am", or "I don't know who I am." I want Addi to grow up knowing that she already has an identity that she was pre-destined with. Of course we have to learn for ourselves and make mistakes but I loved this part of the book that talks of identity: "God named Eve the mother of all living before she was placed in the Garden, and He elected Mary to bear His Son before she entered mortality. Their identity and callings were determined long before they were born, and were surely a reflection of premortal spiritual valor. None of us come to this earth to gain our worth; we brought it with us." President Wilford Woodruff says, "The Lord has chosen a small number of choice spirits of sons and daughters who are to inherit the earth; and this company of choice spirits have been kept in the spirit world for six thousand years to come forth in the last days." That includes all of us, as one of those who have been reserved for this eleventh hour. Sometimes I forget the importance of being here on earth and living up to all we were meant to be.

That sounds like a really good book. I read her other book a long time ago, but really liked it. I'll have to check into that. I just sent back that virtue book mom wants us all to read. It was pretty good too. She'll be after you to read it :)
